It was the summer of 1940, when Grandma and Grandpa Rico opened a cafe in the border town of Del Rio, Texas. The new cafe was named after Rico’s mother Carlota, who was famous among family and friends for her delicious Mexican food. Using the favorite family recipes passed down through the generations, the cafe earned recognition from the local community. Today Rico’s Tacos continues that tradition with the freshest ingredients and quality of preparation. Much has changed since that first cafe opened. Now Rico’s Tacos food trucks call New York City their home. Stop by a Rico’s Tacos food truck in your neighborhood to experience fresh and delicious, award winning Mexican cuisine!
